Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson first discovered the unmatched respite of a fine cigar in the early 1990s, and has since taken pleasure in the pastime. Whether as a ritual comfort or to mark an occasion, he knows as well as anyone the refined satisfaction to be had in an artfully blended, masterfully crafted, hand-rolled cigar. Always a dreamer with the ethic to achieve, he set out to create his own brand, giving life to Eighty5 Cigars.
More than a business venture, it was another challenge to conquer and vision to realize, so it wouldn’t do to merely lend his renown to a brand. It was a labor of passion. Johnson spent three weeks in the Dominican Republic sourcing leaf, tasting blends, and collaborating with the masters of the craft to come up with premium cigars worthy of the devotion that begot them. The result was the Boa Vida (Good Life) and El Patron (The Boss). Each of these blends deliver a smooth and flavorful smoking experience that speaks to the quintessential gratification of the quality cigar.
